The historic vaulted cellars of what was once the Weingut Otto Engels estate has been meticulously restored by the Frey brothers as the foundation for the wineBANK Köln. The wineBANK holds a special spot among the brothers’ various construction projects, and visitors can immediately see why — it’s hard to believe that such a thing can exist on Ebertplatz, at the beating heart of Cologne. Here, in the very spot where wine was once stored, you can now gather in a fine atmosphere with fellow friends of the good life and draw inspiration from the spirit of good wine. Start your own tradition with one of the 351 lockers or 5 private cellars, with space for roughly 48,000 bottles. Special wine events open your doors to the world’s finest wine estates. Gunnar Oswald studied business in Cologne and acquired a special fondness for art and culture through his work managing a foundation. He finds joy in societal and social engagement and dedicates to maintaining international friendships. A native of Cologne, Gunnar was immediately thrilled with the opportunity to acquire the historical wine cellars of the former Weingut Otto Engels estate and is thrilled at the chance to continue expanding this unique location into a gathering spot for wine fans in Cologne. As club manager he is especially excited about the chance to spend time with club members in this exclusive environment.

Diana Keuser has been on the wineBANK Köln team from the start, providing support for all administrative and organizational tasks. She brings an experienced hand thanks to years working at an international corporation. Diana loved wineBANK Köln from the start, and not just for its historical architecture. The very idea of a vinophile club immediately captured her fancy. She is a passionate fan of foreign travel, fascinated with how different countries pursue gourmet indulgences in their own specific ways. Many years ago she discovered a love for wine, and perpetually enjoys trying unfamiliar varieties to expand her taste horizons.

wineBANKer´s Table - falstaff Newcomer des Jahres 2020

Das war unser wineBANKers table "falstaff - Newcomer des Jahres 2020" = sympathisch, begeisternd, wissenswert, unterhaltsam, lecker! Zu Gast waren bei uns die Weingüter Margarethenhof, Pieper und Kusterer, welche vom falstaff zu den Newcomern des Jahres 2020 nominiert wurden. Wir probierten jeweils 3 Weine der familiengeführten Weingüter und sprachen mit Yvonne Libelli und Felix Pieper über den Weinanbau, Bodenarten, Rebsorten und vielem mehr. Zwischendurch wurden wir mit leckerem Fingerfood von unserem Partner DEINspeisesalon verwöhnt. Unser Fazit = Wir sind begeistert von den jungen Winzern und haben Lust auf mehr!

Wege aus der Struktur und Wirtschaftskrise“. Vielen Dank für einen tollen Abend an Maik Bolsmann und seine Kollegen von B&K Vermögen.
